In Tanzania, the demand for robust biological detection is driven by a combination of high humidity, tropical temperatures, and the prevalence of zoonotic diseases. Traditional sampling methods often struggle with the high particulate load found in East African urban centers and rural agricultural zones.
The current infrastructure in Dar es Salaam and Dodoma is transitioning toward automated bio detection to reduce human error and minimize the risk of laboratory-acquired infections. However, the lack of localized calibration tools for varied atmospheric conditions remains a significant challenge.
Furthermore, the integration of bio detection systems is now seen as a critical component of national biosecurity, specifically for monitoring key transit hubs and ports to prevent the cross-border transmission of airborne pathogens.
